DNS records explained

Understand the CNAME and TXT records used to verify domain ownership.

CNAME record

Points your chosen subdomain (for example give.example.org) at the 1 NGO edge hostname so traffic reaches the correct public page.

Proves you control the domain before certificates are issued. Keep this record in place while the domain remains connected.

Do not proxy through incompatible CDNs until verification completes unless your implementation partner confirms the setup.
