WhatsApp Updates

Open Integrations → WhatsApp Updates (organisation owners, with two-step verification on). You chat 1:1 with the 1 NGO bot — the same bot number is used for every organisation. The bot does not join groups.

Connect

1. On the WhatsApp Updates page, click Generate pairing code. The code is shown once and lasts 20 minutes.
2. Open WhatsApp to the bot number on that page (or use Open WhatsApp) and send Hi.
3. Send the pairing code in the same chat. You can also send /initialize followed by the code.
4. Stay on the dashboard tab. It switches to Connected when the number links. One WhatsApp number per organisation.
5. Tick the main donate page and each published campaign this chat may query. Optionally turn on live donation alerts per target.

Revoke on the same page to unlink. Generate a new code to pair again. Campaigns are added and removed here, not in WhatsApp.

What you can send

Slashes are optional: summary works the same as /summary. After a numbered list, reply with 1, 2, 1., or 2).

• Hi — if you are not linked yet, the bot asks you to generate a pairing code on the dashboard. If you are linked, it lists campaigns this chat can access.
• /list — enabled campaigns (main donate page first, then the rest by slug).
• /summary or summary — if several campaigns are enabled, a numbered list. Reply with the number. If only one is enabled, that summary is sent immediately.
• /summary main-donation or /summary {campaign-slug} — that target only (it must be ticked on the dashboard).
• /statement, /statements, statement, or statements — same numbered picker, then recent successful gifts.
• /statement {slug} — recent gifts for that target.
• A published campaign slug on its own — treated as a summary for that slug.
• /help — the command list.

If you name a slug that is not enabled, the bot says so and points you back to the dashboard. You can still use /summary {slug} instead of the numbered picker.

Live gift alerts

When Paystack confirms a successful gift, 1 NGO texts this chat if that donate page or campaign is ticked and “Send live donation alerts” is on. Forward the message into your own groups by hand if you want it there.

If you would rather receive gifts in your own automation than in WhatsApp, use Integrations → Update webhooks. Dashboard activity (including gifts) can also be emailed from Settings & More → Notifications.
